What is Nike Grind™?

From Footwear Waste to

Nike Grind™ which began as a grassroots initiative in 1992 to repurpose shoes headed for landfills, is now a global sustainability program that helps transform manufacturing scrap, unused manufacturing materials and end-of-life shoes into recycled Nike Grind materials. Rubber, foam, fibre, leather and textiles are collected, separated, and reused or processed into new Nike Grind material. These Nike Grind materials are incorporated into licensee products ranging from furniture to playgrounds, as well as Nike footwear and apparel.
