Gallant Sports Newsletter September 2026

From Recognition to Real-world impact | Gallant Pulse

Recognition is meaningful when it reflects the work happening on the ground.

The past few weeks have brought an important award, the completion of a multi-sport university project, and another opportunity to think about what good sports infrastructure should actually achieve.

For us, these three stories are connected. Recognition is a reminder of why we do the work. Projects show how that work comes together on the ground. And the larger conversation is about making sure the infrastructure we build is designed to create long-term value.

In this edition:

  • Recognition: Persistent Commitment to Indian Sports
  • Project Spotlight: Four sports, two international certifications, 90 days
  • Thought Leadership: A sports facility is only as good as its utilisation

Recognition Spotlight

A Recognition for Persistent Commitment to Indian Sports

At the IAMGAME Sports Awards 2026, Gallant Sports was recognised with the “Persistent Commitment to Indian Sports” award.

The award is a meaningful milestone for our team because it represents something bigger than a single project or achievement.

Over the years, our work has taken us across schools, universities, government facilities, academies and sporting venues, building football fields, athletics tracks, hockey grounds, courts and complete sports infrastructure.

Each project has a different requirement. Some need international certification. Some need to be completed within a demanding timeline. Some involve challenging locations or complex site conditions.

But the larger objective remains consistent: create better spaces where people can play, train, compete and develop through sport.

For us, this recognition is not an endpoint. It is encouragement to keep building, keep improving and keep contributing to the sporting ecosystem in India.

The award belongs to the entire Gallant team and to the partners, institutions and sporting communities who continue to trust us with their projects.

Persistent commitment is built project by project.

Project Spotlight

FIFA Quality Football Field, WA Class 2 Athletic Track & Multi-Sport Courts at Christ University, Kengeri

As universities look to create more complete sporting ecosystems on campus, the focus is shifting from individual facilities to integrated multi-sport infrastructure.

Gallant Sports recently delivered a four-sport facility at Christ Deemed to be University, Kengeri Campus, Bengaluru, bringing football, athletics, basketball and volleyball infrastructure together under one turnkey project.

Project Highlights:

● FIFA Quality certified football field with CCGrass artificial turf

● World Athletics Class 2 Full PU athletic track

● PU basketball court with FIBA-standard line marking

● Artificial turf volleyball court with FIVB-compliant line marking

● Complete project delivered within 90 days

● End-to-end turnkey execution covering base construction, drainage, surfacing, installation and line marking

The project demonstrates how coordinated planning and integrated execution can help educational institutions develop multiple sports facilities within a defined timeline, without compromising on technical requirements.

The result? Four sporting disciplines brought together within one campus, creating more opportunities for students to play, train and compete.

Thought Leadership

A Sports Facility Is Only as Good as Its Utilisation

When institutions plan sports infrastructure, the conversation often starts with the surface.

Which turf? What specification? What certification? What will it cost?

All important questions. But one deserves equal attention:

How often will the facility actually be used?

A technically strong facility can still deliver limited value if it is not planned around its users.

For schools, that means considering student participation, timetables and coaching. For universities, it could include competitions, academies and community use. For government and community facilities, accessibility, lighting and scheduling can make the difference between an active sporting hub and an underused asset.

That is why utilisation should be considered before the final surface is selected.

Start with the use case. Then work backwards.

What sports will be played? Who will use the facility? When? How often? What maintenance will it require?

These decisions influence everything from the number of courts and fields to lighting, drainage, access and surface selection.

The goal should not be to build the most expensive facility.

It should be to build one that gets used.

Because the real value of sports infrastructure is not measured when it opens. It is measured by how consistently it supports play, training and participation over time.

Good sports infrastructure is built for use, not just for opening day.

The Road Ahead

The work continues.

With projects across educational institutions, government facilities, academies and sporting venues, Gallant Sports continues to focus on the fundamentals that matter: the right planning, the right surface, strong execution and infrastructure built for sustained use.

We are also continuing to expand our capabilities across sports surfaces, manufacturing and integrated sports infrastructure delivery.

More projects, more lessons from the field and more conversations around the future of Indian sports infrastructure are coming in the next edition of Gallant Pulse.
