Dalhousie Public School, located in Siswan, New Chandigarh, carries the legacy of the renowned Dalhousie Public School of Dalhousie. Built on a 50-acre area, encircled by the pristine Siswan forest, this new institution was established with a decisive mission to create a wholesome educational atmosphere through premium sports infrastructure. Gallant Sports executed a 235-meter running track with six lanes utilizing 30mm superb non-infill turf at a site of 22,000 sq. ft.

The Need for the Project

As a new established school entering a competitive landscape, Dalhousie Public School needed more than classrooms — it needed confidence from parents. School management recognized that contemporary parenting evaluations surpass academic standards and include facilities that support physical growth along with extracurricular activities.

The school leadership’s vision for excellence required both a magnificent visual sporting environment and a practical setup to demonstrate their student health promotion priorities since the beginning of operations.

After analysing the client’s objectives and restrictions, Gallant recommended 30mm superb non-infill synthetic turf as the cost-effective yet durable solution. Other options like EPDM surfaces were also considered initially, the 30 mm non infill turf turned out to be a better alternative within the budget because it offered superior durability with minimal maintenance requirements, as well as a 7-year warranty. 

We designed a solution that attained worldwide performance standards and safety requirements and simultaneously presented an appearance and operational capability that made a lasting sensory impact on parents and students.
